This plugin gives every widget an extra control field called “Widget logic” that lets you control the pages that the widget will appear on. **** this plugin can mis-behave if you have already set the home destination to be a static page – however if you : set the “reading” value to the default setting => disable this plugin => and then re-enable the plugin all the kinks seem to work themselves out. what you see is based on the plugin control panel it will not be a true category view…. meaning that creating a category specific archive layout will not be applied to the front page for the selected category
